Website Description & User Guide
1. Overview
Brain Metastasis Cell Atlas (BMCA) is the public-facing atlas and data resource generated by BRIDGE Consortium, providing a publicly accessible, interactive visualization platform for cancer brain metastasis research and integrating multi-center single-cell RNA-sequencing data from multiple cancer types.
2. Data Content
The current release includes:
Data covering more than 10 types of solid tumors
Over 530 patient samples
More than 550 sequencing libraries
Over 2.5 million single-cell profiles
Major cancer types included:
Breast cancer (BRCA), colorectal cancer (CRC), lung cancer (NSCLC/SCLC), melanoma (SKCM), esophageal cancer (ESCA), gastric cancer (GC), ovarian cancer (OV), clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC), lymphoma (DLBCL), liver cancer (LIHC), sarcoma (SARC), etc.
For each cancer type, the platform displays:
Number of samples and cells from brain metastases (BrM)
Number of samples and cells from primary tumors
3. Application Purpose
This platform can be used to:
Quickly overview sample and cell counts across different cancer types
Compare data resources between primary tumors and brain metastases
Support study design, hypothesis generation, and data mining in metastasis research
Facilitate mechanistic, immunological, and translational studies of brain metastasis
4. Usage Instructions
An overview of all cancer types is available directly on the homepage
Displayed information includes cancer type, sample count, cell count, and origin (primary vs. metastatic)
The platform is under continuous update; advanced modules including cell annotation, subtype analysis, differential expression, and interactive visualization will be gradually launched
